HEALTH GUARANTEE

Health Guarantee & Sales Agreement

At Hoffam English Mastiff, we take immense pride in the health and structural integrity of our dogs. We believe that a healthy puppy starts with healthy parents, which is why our breeding program focuses on rigorous testing and ethical standards.

1. Our Commitment to You

Every puppy leaving Hoffam English Mastiff is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale. Before joining your family, each puppy will have:

  • A comprehensive physical examination by a licensed veterinarian.

  • Up-to-date vaccinations and deworming.

  • A certified health certificate.

2. General Health Warranty

We provide a 72-hour initial health guarantee. We require the buyer to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three business days of arrival. If the veterinarian finds the puppy to be suffering from a clinically diagnosed illness or health issue present at the time of sale, we will work with you on a resolution as outlined in our full contract.

3. Genetic & Hereditary Guarantee

We offer a [Insert Year, e.g., 2-Year] Genetic Health Guarantee against life-threatening congenital defects. This specifically covers:

  • Severe Hip & Elbow Dysplasia: Genetic issues that significantly impair the dog’s quality of life.

  • Congenital Heart Defects: Issues that are proven to be hereditary and not caused by environmental factors.

Note: Because English Mastiffs are a giant breed, the buyer must follow our recommended exercise and nutrition guidelines to ensure the warranty remains valid. Rapid growth or obesity can cause joint issues that are not genetic.

4. Buyer’s Responsibilities

To maintain the validity of this guarantee, the buyer agrees to:

  • Maintain a Healthy Weight: Obesity is the leading cause of joint failure in Mastiffs.

  • Proper Nutrition: Provide high-quality large-breed puppy food as recommended by Hoffam.

  • Safe Exercise: Avoid high-impact jumping or long runs on hard surfaces until the dog’s growth plates have closed (typically 18-24 months).

  • Timely Vaccinations: Keep all veterinary records up to date.

5. Transparency & Support

If a hereditary health issue is suspected, Hoffam English Mastiff requires a written report from a licensed veterinarian and, in some cases, a second opinion or OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) evaluation. Our goal is always the well-being of the dog and the satisfaction of our families.
